Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly creative Remote Early Years Curriculum Developer to design age-appropriate curricula for children aged 3-6. This fully remote contractor role focuses on creating engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments that can be delivered across digital platforms for South Africa-based families and educators.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, brings 5+ years of curriculum experience, and demonstrates excellent writing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of curriculum development or early years teaching experience.
• Proven ability to design engaging content for young children.
• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with digital collaboration tools (Google Workspace, PM software).
• Strong understanding of child development milestones.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely.
• Portfolio of curriculum work is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive and engaging early years curriculum frameworks for ages 3-6.
• Create detailed lesson plans, activity guides, and resources for remote or hybrid delivery.
• Design age-appropriate assessments and progress tracking tools.
• Ensure content aligns with national early childhood development standards.
• Collaborate with remote educators and designers to refine materials.
• Write clear, concise content for parents and educators on utilizing the curriculum.
• Research and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies and digital tools.
• Adapt curriculum content based on feedback and trends.
• Maintain organized digital files and project documentation.
