Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a driven Remote E-commerce Specialist to manage online sales channels from anywhere, including Upington. You will drive revenue by optimizing website performance, campaigns, and customer experience across platforms, with a focus on conversions and engagement.

You will develop strategy, execute initiatives, and analyze data to maximize results while collaborating with an online team and leveraging cutting-edge ecommerce tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Specialist or similar online retail role.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify or WooCommerce platforms.
• Proficiency in SEO, SEM, content marketing, and social ads.
• Excellent analytical skills to translate data into actions.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Increase traffic, conversion rates, and AOV across e-commerce platforms.
• Optimize product listings—descriptions, images, pricing.
• Plan and analyze digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, social, email).
• Monitor website performance and user experience to drive improvements.
• Handle customer service inquiries related to online orders.
• Track trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
