Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Agricultural Drone Pilot & Analyst to join their remote, contract-based team. You will plan and execute drone surveys for crop monitoring, collect data, and deliver actionable insights to farmers and agri-businesses.

The role requires SACAA Remote Pilot Licence, proven drone experience in agriculture, and proficiency with Pix4D, DroneDeploy, or Agisoft. You will work independently from a remote setting, with a flexible schedule and exposure to cutting-edge drone

Qualifications

• Valid SACAA Remote Pilot Licence or equivalent.
• Proven drone piloting experience in agricultural applications.
• Proficiency with drone flight planning and data analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct safe and effective drone flights for agricultural mapping, imaging, and data acquisition.
• Operate various types of agricultural drones and sensor payloads (multispectral, thermal).
• Process and analyze imagery and sensor data to identify crop health issues, nutrient deficiencies, and irrigation needs.
• Generate detailed reports and visualizations for clients with findings and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with local and national regulations regarding drone operation and data privacy.
