Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering (or related field).
• 4+ years as Drilling Fluids Engineer in Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, properties & applications.
• Experience with fluid monitoring software & remote data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills for diagnosing fluid-related challenges.
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration with teams near Paarl.

Responsabilités

• Remotely monitor drilling fluid properties and performance for ongoing drilling operations.
• Provide technical recommendations for mud formulation, treatment, and conditioning based on real-time data.
• Troubleshoot drilling fluid issues such as lost circulation, wellbore instability, and shale inhibition.
• Develop and implement drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well objectives and geological conditions.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers and rig site personnel to ensure effective fluid management.
• Maintain detailed records of fluid testing, performance, and costs.
