Placements24 is seeking a Remote Dispatch Coordinator to oversee driver scheduling, routing, and real‑time issue resolution from a home office in South Africa. This remote‑first role requires proactive communication, excellent organization, and strong dispatch software experience.

You will coordinate pickups, monitor progress, and generate performance reports while maintaining records and liaising with clients and drivers. A reliable internet connection and SA geography knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics/remote coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule driver activities including pickups and deliveries for optimal routing.
• Monitor driver progress and provide real-time guidance using dispatch software.
• Maintain communication between drivers, clients and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Keep accurate records of dispatch activities and performance metrics.
• Identify and address delays or disruptions and implement contingency plans.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation and fleet utilization.
• Generate reports on dispatch efficiency and operational performance.
• Confirm delivery details with clients and accommodate special requirements.
• Stay updated on best practices and leverage technology to optimize dispatch operations.
