Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Digital Pedagogy Specialist to champion the integration of digital technologies into teaching and learning across South Africa from a fully remote setup.

You will develop strategies, resources, and professional development programs that empower educators to leverage digital tools for enhanced student engagement and outcomes, while collaborating with faculty, instructional designers, and IT support to drive innovation in education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in educational technology, instructional design, or related field with pedagogy focus.
• Strong understanding of learning theories and online/blended learning practices.
• Experience delivering professional development for educators.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for integrating digital technologies into teaching.
• Design and deliver professional development workshops for educators.
• Create resources and guidelines for online and blended learning environments.
• Advise on selecting and using digital tools to enhance learning.
• Research emerging educational technologies and their pedagogy implications.
• Support design of online courses and digital learning materials.
• Foster a community of practice for educators in digital pedagogy.
• Evaluate effectiveness of digital learning initiatives and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure technical support for tools.
• Stay updated on trends in digital learning and ed tech.
