Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field relevant to data science.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with ML focus.
• Python or R with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas/NumPy.
• SQL and large-scale database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL).

Responsibilities

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to critical upstream operations from anywhere. You will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced analytical models to drive efficiency, optimize production, and enhance safety across our client\'s diverse portfolio of exploration and production assets. This role requires a deep understanding of data science principles, machine learning techniques, and a passion for applying these to solve complex challenges in the energy industry. • Develop, implement, and deploy machine learning models for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and performance optimization of upstream assets.

• Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy).


• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL).


• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is highly desirable.


• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, experimental design, and machine learning algorithms.
