You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure data availability, quality, and performance in a remote-first setting.

The role emphasizes Python/SQL/Scala coding, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT expertise, with a strong preference for experience in Spark or Hadoop and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional data engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT
• Familiarity with Spark or Hadoop is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and optimize data models for performance and efficiency.
• Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Contribute to architecture and design of new data platform features.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
