Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join the dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) team. You will identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats, focusing on threat intelligence gathering and proactive defense, from a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity, with expertise in SIEM (Splunk/QRadar/LogRhythm), IDS/IPS, and EDR, plus knowledge of TTPs and threat hunting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity with focus on threat intelligence or incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm).
• Experience with IDS/IPS and EDR solutions.
• Strong understanding of cyberattack techniques, TTPs, and threat actor methodologies.
• Threat hunting and proactive security analysis experience.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat intelligence or incident response.
• Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm).
• Experience with Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
• Strong understanding of various cyberattack techniques, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), and threat actor methodologies.
• Experience in threat hunting and proactive security analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaboration in a remote environment.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security automation is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
