Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Chief Technology Officer to define and lead the technology strategy for a rapidly scaling SaaS startup. You will drive architectural decisions, mentor a distributed engineering team, and ensure secure, scalable software delivery in a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in software leadership, hands-on expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP, and a proven track record of building SaaS platforms with strong cybersecurity and agile practices.

Qualifications

15+ years of software development and technology leadership.
At least 5 years in CTO or VP of Engineering roles.
Experience leading SaaS engineering teams at scale.
Deep expertise in cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and agile development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the company’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.
Lead and manage engineering, product development, and IT operations teams.
Oversee architecture, design, and deployment of scalable, secure software solutions.
Manage cloud infrastructure for reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Implement robust cybersecurity measures and data privacy protocols.
Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies and best practices.
Establish agile development, code quality, and testing standards.
Collaborate with leadership to align tech with business goals.
Oversee technology budgeting and vendor relationships.
