Job summary

Placements24 partners with a leading investment firm in digital assets to recruit a Cryptocurrency Trader and Analyst. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility to work from anywhere as you engage with volatile crypto markets.

You will execute trades, conduct market research, develop quantitative strategies, monitor risk, and report performance to management. A strong background in finance or math and 3+ years in crypto trading are required; blockchain knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, CS, or Math.
3+ years of cryptocurrency trading or quantitative analysis.
Strong knowledge of blockchain, DeFi, and risk management.
Experience with trading platforms and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Execute cryptocurrency trades across exchanges using defined strategies.
Perform market research on cryptocurrencies, blockchain projects, and market trends.
Develop and refine quantitative trading strategies with technical/fundamental analysis.
Monitor regulatory developments and market news impacting prices.
Manage portfolio risk and report performance to management.
Identify arbitrage opportunities and support investment strategy.
Collaborate with the investment team to contribute to overall strategy in Mossel Bay, Western Cape and beyond.
