Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Cryptocurrency Trader and Analyst to join a dynamic quantitative trading firm focused on digital assets, with operations centered in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will conduct market analysis, develop strategies, monitor portfolios, and identify lucrative opportunities in a fast-moving crypto space.

The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, several years in crypto markets, and proficiency in Python and trading APIs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, CS, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years in trading or quantitative analysis, with strong crypto focus.
• Proven experience developing/executing trading strategies (algorithmic preferred).
• Strong knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Python data tools (pandas, NumPy).
• Solid understanding of financial markets, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
• Experience with trading APIs and exchange platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct in-depth market analysis of cryptocurrencies (technical & fundamental).
• Develop, backtest, and implement quantitative trading strategies for digital assets.
• Execute trades across multiple crypto exchanges and manage risk.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments impacting crypto prices.
• Analyze portfolio performance and optimize trading strategies.
• Maintain trading infrastructure and tools; document performance.
• Collaborate with research team to explore new ideas and models.
• Provide regular performance reports and maintain records.
