About the Role

This role is crucial for optimizing project timelines and resource allocation across multiple ongoing construction projects nationwide. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating detailed project schedules using advanced planning software. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa . The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a meticulous approach to detail, and a deep understanding of construction project lifecycles and critical path analysis. You will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project schedules for various construction projects using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Analyze project requirements, scope, and duration to create accurate and realistic timelines.
• Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling conflicts, proactively developing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, updating status, and forecasting completion dates.
• Collaborate remotely with project managers, site engineers, and other team members to gather information and ensure schedule alignment.
• Prepare and present regular scheduling reports, including progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and delay analyses.
• Assist in resource planning and leveling to ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Evaluate the impact of changes, scope modifications, or unforeseen events on the project schedule.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Demonstrated expertise in using project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
