Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Compliance Officer to manage regulatory and ethical standards from a fully remote position supporting Richards Bay operations. You will develop, implement and monitor compliance programs to prevent improper conduct and ensure adherence to laws and internal policies.

The role requires at least 5 years in corporate compliance, a law or business degree, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years in corporate compliance or risk management.
Strong knowledge of South African corporate laws and regulations.
Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs.
Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a comprehensive corporate compliance program.
Monitor adherence to regulations and company policies across all departments.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify non-compliance.
Investigate reported compliance concerns and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees and management.
Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, advising the business accordingly.
Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulators.
