Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate Remote Community Sports Development Officer to design, implement, and manage programs that increase access to sport across diverse communities from a home office.

You will collaborate with schools, sport clubs and local leaders to build sustainable initiatives, seek funding, monitor outcomes, and promote physical activity for social good in underserved areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Sports Management, Community Development, Public Health, or related).
• Experience in program development and management within sports or community sectors.
• Strong understanding of grassroots sports development principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for community sports development with focus on inclusivity and accessibility.
• Organize and promote sports programs, workshops, and events for diverse community groups.
• Build and maintain relationships with local government, schools, sports clubs, and community organizations.
• Seek funding opportunities and manage grants to support community sports initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, reporting on outcomes and impact.
• Champion the benefits of sport and physical activity for health and social development.
