Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect for a fully remote role to lead enterprise cloud security across global teams. You will design secure architectures, drive threat modeling, and establish security patterns for AWS, Azure and GCP while guiding DevSecOps integration.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in cybersecurity, a Master’s degree, and relevant certifications, with strong communication skills to influence stakeholders in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 8+ years in cybersecurity, with 4+ years in security architecture and design.
• Proven experience designing secure cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Expertise in IAM, data security, network security, and cryptography.
• Strong DevSecOps understanding and security automation experience.
• Experience with threat modeling (STRIDE, DREAD) and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure enterprise-level cloud solutions with security controls.
• Develop security architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for systems and apps.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security in SDLC (DevSecOps).
• Evaluate security technologies to meet business needs.
• Provide mentorship on cybersecurity architecture to internal teams.
• Document security blueprints, reference architectures, and patterns.
• Stay current with emerging threats and trends in cloud security.
• Define security requirements for AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring compliance.
• Lead incident response planning and post-incident reviews.
