Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Information Security Architect to join a global cloud solutions company. This fully remote role focuses on designing secure cloud-native architectures and ensuring compliance with international standards.

You will define security blueprints, lead security reviews, and collaborate with international teams to protect data across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Strong leadership, deep cloud security expertise, and relevant certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years in information security with at least 5 years in security architecture for cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Experience designing IAM, KMS, WAF and network segmentation.
• Proficiency with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and serverless security.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 and related compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a 100% remote setting.
• CISSP/CCSP or cloud-specific security certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience with IaC and security automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud environments.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies to enhance security posture.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct security reviews of cloud architectures and deployments.
• Develop and manage security controls for data protection and access management.
• Define and oversee security monitoring and incident response strategies for cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOC 2, and other relevant standards.
• Provide technical leadership on security architecture and document designs and procedures.
