Qualifikationen

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and validate incoming travel insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
• Investigate claim details, including policy coverage, circumstances of the incident (e.g., medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost baggage), and supporting evidence.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, medical providers, travel agents, and other relevant parties to gather information and clarify claim specifics.
• Assess claim validity against policy terms, conditions, and exclusions, making fair and accurate settlement decisions.
• Process approved claims for payment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company procedures and timelines.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all claim activities within the company's claims management system.
• Identify potentially fraudulent claims and elevate them to the fraud investigation unit.
• Provide exceptional customer service, offering support and guidance to claimants throughout the claims process.
• Stay updated on travel trends, common claim types, and insurance regulations impacting travel insurance.

Requirements

• A matriculation certificate or equivalent; further education in insurance or a related field is advantageous.
• Proven experience (2-4 years) in claims assessment or administration, specifically within the travel insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of travel insurance policies, common risks, and claim procedures.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
