Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Civil Engineer with a strong background in Urban Planning and Development for a fully remote role. You will shape sustainable urban environments by planning, designing, and implementing infrastructure projects that support community growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering related to urban planning, land development, or infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in CAD software, GIS, and relevant urban planning and engineering design tools.
• Strong understanding of sustainable urban development principles and land use planning.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning and design of urban infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and public spaces.
• Develop site development plans, stormwater management strategies, and traffic impact assessments.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and environmental consultants on integrated development projects.
• Ensure compliance with zoning regulations, municipal bylaws, and environmental standards.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and design documentation for clients and regulatory approvals.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate project details with remote team members and external stakeholders.
