About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations remotely, supporting their significant mining operations. This executive position is responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, risk management, reporting, and investor relations. You will play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial strategy, driving profitability, and ensuring financial stability, working effectively with global teams from your remote base near Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership qualities, a deep understanding of the mining sector's financial nuances, and a proven ability to manage complex financial structures in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
• Manage risk, including financial, operational, and strategic risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the board of directors, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead fundraising efforts and manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and support to operational leadership across all mining sites.

Requirements
