Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Chemical Process Simulation Specialist to lead and validate advanced chemical process models from a home office. You will model and optimize complex systems, collaborating with international teams of scientists and engineers to deliver robust simulation results.

You will perform steady-state and dynamic simulations, assess design options, and report findings with a focus on efficiency, safety, and environmental impact.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a strong focus on process modeling and simulation.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience dedicated to chemical process simulation.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard simulation software such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, gPROMS, or similar.
• Strong theoretical foundation in chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and transport phenomena.
• Demonstrated experience in modeling complex reaction systems, separations, and unit operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex simulation outputs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines in a remote setting.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis is a significant advantage.
