About the Role

This position is fully remote, offering exceptional flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing greener chemical processes, focusing on reducing environmental impact, improving resource efficiency, and promoting circular economy principles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong theoretical background in chemical engineering combined with practical experience in designing and evaluating sustainable technologies, lifecycle assessments, and eco-friendly chemical pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize chemical processes with a focus on sustainability, including waste minimization, energy efficiency, and reduced emissions.
• Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to evaluate the environmental impact of chemical processes and products.
• Research and identify opportunities for implementing green chemistry principles and renewable feedstocks.
• Develop process models and simulations that incorporate environmental metrics and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations teams globally to integrate sustainable design into new and existing processes.
• Evaluate emerging sustainable technologies and assess their feasibility for industrial application.
• Prepare technical reports, case studies, and presentations on sustainable process design initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a specialization or strong focus on sustainability, environmental engineering, or green chemistry.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process design, development, or optimization, with a significant portion dedicated to sustainability aspects.
• Proven experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies and tools.
