Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Chemical Analyst to join our quality control and R&D team in Mossel Bay. In this fully remote role, you will perform complex chemical analyses, interpret data, and ensure the quality and integrity of our chemical products from a home office.

You will operate advanced analytical instruments, develop new methods, maintain detailed notebooks, and collaborate with remote R&D and production teams to support multiple projects while adhering to GLP and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on lab experience.
• Proficiency with GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, ICP-MS and other analytics.
• Strong GLP and quality control understanding.
• Excellent data interpretation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for performing complex chemical analyses, interpreting data, and ensuring the consistent quality and integrity of our chemical products. You will leverage advanced analytical instrumentation and techniques, working independently to support various R&D and production needs. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of chemical analyses using advanced spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, ICP-MS).

• Interpret analytical data, troubleshoot instrumentation issues, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and prepare comprehensive analytical reports for research and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate remotely with R&D scientists and production teams to provide analytical support and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a chemical analysis laboratory setting.
