Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Full-Stack Game Developer focused on engine development. You will design, implement, and optimize the game engine core using C++, collaborating with a distributed team of artists and designers from your home office.

You must demonstrate deep knowledge of engine architecture, memory management, and performance optimization, plus experience with graphics APIs and AI.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Game Developer with a strong focus on engine programming.
• Expert proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming principles.
• Deep understanding of game engine architecture, memory management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with graphics APIs (e.g., DirectX, Vulkan, OpenGL) and rendering techniques.
• Familiarity with game physics engines and AI development.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core systems of the game engine using C++.
• Develop and optimize gameplay mechanics, physics, and AI systems.
• Implement and manage data structures, algorithms, and performance optimizations.
• Collaborate with designers to translate game concepts into functional engine features.
• Work closely with artists to integrate art assets and ensure optimal rendering performance.
• Develop and maintain tools and pipelines to support the development team.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack of the game engine.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in game development technology and C++ standards.
