Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Software Engineer focused on game development. You’ll design, develop, and optimize features for high-end entertainment titles, collaborating with a global team from any location. A strong background in C++, C#, and modern engines is essential.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and stay current with engine and tooling advancements to deliver engaging gaming experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience.
• At least 4 years in game development within Arts & Entertainment.
• Expert in C++ or C#; strong game engine experience.
• Strong OOP, data structures, and algorithms knowledge.
• Experience with AI, physics, networking, and graphics.
• Proven ability to design complex systems and debug efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy game features and systems.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers on mechanics and UI.
• Optimize performance, memory, and load times across platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture.
