Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator for a remote-friendly contract role based near Rustenburg, North West. You will develop BIM standards, coordinate multidisciplinary models, and drive clash detection and data integrity across projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in BIM coordination, proficiency in Revit/Navisworks/Solibri, and strong communication. Experience with BEPs and remote team collaboration is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BIM coordination experience focusing on architectural projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols and workflows (ISO 19650).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate remotely.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with SA construction industry practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for architectural projects.
• Coordinate and manage architectural models from various disciplines, ensuring clash detection and resolution.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders using BIM platforms.
• Conduct regular model audits to ensure data integrity and adherence to project requirements.
• Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and best practices.
• Generate reports on model progress, coordination status, and potential issues.
• Assist in the creation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for new projects.
• Stay updated on BIM technology and software advancements.
• Manage and organize BIM content libraries and families.
• Ensure BIM deliverables meet client and project specifications in North West.
