Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote BIM Architect to drive BIM adoption across project phases for clients nationwide, including Cape Town. You will develop standards, workflows, and training to enhance design quality and coordination.

With 6+ years in architectural practice and expert Revit skills (ISO 19650), you will lead complex BIM models, clash detection, and mentor a remote design team in a dynamic studio.

Qualifications

• Registered architect (PrArch) with SACAP or equivalent
• 6+ years in architectural design with BIM focus
• Expert in Revit; strong BIM workflows and ISO 19650 knowledge
• Experience with Navisworks and Dynamo is advantageous
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting
• Proven ability to lead and mentor BIM implementation

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies, standards, and protocols for the organization.
• Create and manage complex BIM models, ensuring data integrity and adherence to requirements.

About the Role

This role is pivotal in driving the adoption and effective utilization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across all project phases. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing BIM strategies, standards, and workflows to enhance design quality, coordination, and project efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies , standards, and protocols for the organization.
• Create and manage complex BIM models, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.
• Facilitate clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution among multidisciplinary project teams.
• Provide technical expertise and training on BIM software and best practices to internal staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure BIM is integrated seamlessly throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in BIM technology and recommend improvements to workflows and tools.

Requirements

• Professional Architect registration (PrArch) with SACAP or equivalent international accreditation.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in architectural design and practice, with a strong focus on BIM.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and a deep understanding of BIM workflows and standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Experience with other BIM-related software (e.g., Navisworks, Dynamo) is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others in BIM implementation and usage.
