Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Telecoms Software Developer specializing in backend systems. This fully remote role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend services for cutting-edge telecommunications platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in backend languages, databases, API design, and telecom knowledge, enabling you to deliver high-performance software from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of telecommunications concepts and protocols is a significant advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability to handle high volumes of traffic and data.
• Implement and maintain database solutions, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval.
• Develop and integrate with various telecommunications protocols and systems.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues reported by QA or end-users.
