The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, with 4+ years in industrial automation, and strong PLC/HMI/SCADA skills, capable of remote project work from Port Elizabeth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
Proficiency with programming languages for PLCs (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and HMI development.
Experience with SCADA systems and industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote teams and clients.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and commission PLCs and HMIs for automation projects.
Develop and implement SCADA systems for process monitoring and control.
Select sensors, actuators, and control hardware for applications.
