Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years in application security or related role
• Strong knowledge of common web vulnerabilities (SQLi, XSS, CSRF)
• Experience with SAST/DAST tools such as SonarQube, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP
• Familiarity with secure SDLC and DevSecOps
• Proficiency in at least one language (Java, Python, C#, JS)
• Understanding of cryptography and secure data handling

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic software development company, is actively seeking a Remote Application Security Specialist. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of all software applications throughout the development lifecycle, from design to deployment. This role requires a deep understanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of application designs and code.
• Perform static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST).
• Identify, assess, and prioritize application vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development teams to remediate security flaws and implement secure coding practices.
• Develop and maintain security guidelines and best practices for application development.
• Integrate security testing tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents related to applications.
• Stay current with OWASP Top 10 and other common web application security risks.
• Provide training and guidance to developers on secure coding principles.
• Contribute to threat modeling for new application features and services.

Requirements
