Job summary

FairMoney is hiring a Lead Risk Manager & Portfolio Owner to run the Android Quick Loans portfolio in Nigeria. You will be the day-to-day owner of its commercial, economic, risk and people outcomes, with remote work for South Africa and other countries and hybrid work in Nigeria/India.

The role requires strategic leadership of a high-volume lending portfolio, ownership of PD/ECL strategies, and collaboration across Finance, Data Science, Compliance and Product teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in consumer credit risk, credit strategy or lending portfolio management.
• Experience building annual plans, monthly forecasts and corrective action plans.
• Strong executive communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own Android loan portfolio economics and forecasting.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Product, Data Science, Finance.
• Develop and implement PD/LGD/ECL-based pricing and risk controls.
• Drive affordability models using bank statements, MBS signals, and behavioral data.
• Design experiments with clear hypotheses and rollback triggers.
• Build and lead a senior credit-strategy team with defined workstreams.
