Job summary

Partner Company is seeking an Analytical Chemistry Specialist for a Freelance AI Trainer Project based in South Africa. You will evaluate AI-generated responses, apply spectroscopy, chromatography, electrochemical methods, and quantitative analysis to ensure scientific accuracy and real-world relevance.

This role offers remote, independent work and contributes to AI training and evaluation across laboratory contexts.

Qualifications

• PhD in analytical chemistry or closely related discipline preferred.
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry principles, instrumentation, spectroscopy, chromatography.
• Experience in QA/QC, method development, and environmental/pharmaceutical testing is desirable.
• Ability to identify inaccuracies, assess arguments, and document reproducible findings.
• Excellent technical writing and clear communication of complex concepts.
• Analytical thinking with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated analytical chemistry content for accuracy and rigor.
• Develop scenarios involving spectroscopy, chromatography, electrochemical analysis, and method development.
• Challenge AI models on MS, HPLC, GC, NMR, and related instrumentation.
• Document model weaknesses and patterns to guide improvements.
• Provide detailed scientific feedback and suggest prompts and evaluation criteria.
• Apply QA/QC principles to assess reliability of outputs.
