Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems design and integration.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software incl. SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, ECAD.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems, EMC, and signal integrity.
• Knowledge of aerospace electrical standards and specifications (e.g., MIL-STD, ARP).
• Remote work capable and strong communication for global teams.
• South African citizen or work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aircraft electrical systems including power generation and distribution.
• Create wiring diagrams and harness routing designs using CAD software.
• Perform load analyses, fault current calculations and power quality assessments.
• Specify electrical components, connectors and cables to meet aerospace standards.
• Integrate electrical systems with avionics, propulsion and structures.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems design and integration.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, ECAD).
• Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and signal integrity.
• Knowledge of aerospace electrical standards and specifications (e.g., MIL-STD, ARP standards).
• Experience with simulation tools for electrical system analysis is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective remote teamwork.
