Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in aircraft systems engineering.
• Expertise in avionics, hydraulics, electrical, propulsion; CAD/CAE/MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience in systems integration, requirements management, and V&V.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote work.
• Familiarity with SACAA, EASA, FAA standards

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Remote Aircraft Systems Engineer to join their innovative engineering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to cutting-edge aviation projects from the comfort of your own location, with a primary focus on supporting operations and development teams within Mpumalanga . You will be responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and testing of various aircraft systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate aircraft systems, including but not limited to avionics, powerplants, structures, or flight controls.
• Perform system integration, ensuring seamless interaction between different aircraft subsystems.
• Conduct detailed analysis, simulations, and performance testing to verify system functionality and compliance with requirements.
• Develop technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, reports, and design reviews.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, testing, and operational teams in a remote setting to resolve technical challenges and support product lifecycles.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in aerospace technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance aircraft systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in systems integration , requirements management, and verification & validation (V&V).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly in a remote context.
• Familiarity with aviation regulatory standards (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA) and industry best practices is essential for this remote role.
