Ada Meher Limited is seeking an AI/ML Lead Engineer for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will own ML and GenAI workloads from discovery to deployment, collaborating with cloud and DevOps engineers to ship production-grade solutions for clients across industries.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, mentorship, and client-facing delivery, with experience in SageMaker, Bedrock, APIs, and Terraform. Join a team delivering real-world AI workloads on AWS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ hands-on experience in applied ML, AI engineering, or software engineering with real AI exposure (5+ total years experience)
• Ability to lead projects end to end (including deployment with Kubernetes) and mentor junior/mid level engineers
• Strong Python skills with production-level code
• Practical experience delivering ML workloads using AWS SageMaker
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock or similar managed GenAI platforms
• Experience deploying GenAI / LLM-based solutions into production or near-production
• Experience building and integrating APIs
• Comfortable working in cloud-native, Linux-based environments
• Confident leading technical discussions with clients

Responsabilités

• Own delivery of ML and GenAI workloads from discovery through to deployment
• Design, build, and deploy solutions using AWS SageMaker and AWS Bedrock
• Implement GenAI workflows (prompt pipelines, embeddings, retrieval-based patterns)
• Build Python-based services and APIs to support AI workloads
• Contribute to PoCs, MVPs, and client proposals
• Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Engage directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders during delivery
