Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in agronomy with a focus on sustainable farming practices.

• Experience with water management and IPM strategies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote expert advice on crop selection, planting, fertilization, and pest/disease management for sustainable production systems.
• Develop and promote best practices for soil health improvement, including cover cropping, composting, and reduced tillage.
• Advise on water conservation strategies and efficient irrigation techniques tailored to regional conditions.
• Assist farmers in implementing integrated pest management (IPM) and integrated disease management (IDM) programs.
• Analyze farm data and provide recommendations for optimizing resource use and minimizing environmental impact.
• Conduct virtual farm assessments and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
• Stay informed about the latest research and innovations in sustainable agriculture and share knowledge with clients.
• Develop educational materials and deliver online training sessions on sustainable farming techniques.
