Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Data Scientist to join a remote-first team. You will leverage big data, ML, and predictive analytics to improve farm management and crop yields, collaborating with agronomists and farm managers to turn data into actionable strategies.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in statistics, programming (Python/R), and experience deploying predictive models on large datasets from diverse sources such as IoT sensors and satellite imagery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field is required.
• 5+ years of data science experience with predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with large datasets and distributed computing is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain ML models for predictive analytics in agriculture.
• Analyze large and diverse datasets from IoT, satellite imagery, weather data.
• Design data mining strategies to uncover patterns for productivity and sustainability.
• Create visualizations and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with agronomists to define metrics and analytical approaches.
• Evaluate model performance and iteratively improve accuracy and reliability.
