Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• Minimum 4 years of architectural design experience, preferably in residential or affordable housing.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit or ArchiCAD is expected.
• Knowledge of South African housing policies and subsidy programs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of affordable housing projects with focus on cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Create efficient housing unit layouts and site master plans.
• Research and select low-cost, durable building materials and methods.
• Ensure designs comply with national affordable housing guidelines and building codes.
• Collaborate with community stakeholders, government agencies, and developers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Contribute to scalable and replicable housing typologies.
