Placements24 is seeking a highly qualified Remote Adolescent Psychologist in South Africa to provide telehealth mental health services to teenagers. You will diagnose and treat adolescent disorders, conduct online assessments, and collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to support well‑being.

The role requires a PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Adolescent Psychology, current SA license, at least 5 years post‑doctoral experience, and expert telehealth and EHR proficiency.

• Current valid licence to practise psychology in South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑doctoral experience working with adolescents.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adolescents.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Remote Adolescent Psychologist to provide specialized mental health services to teenagers via a virtual platform. This critical role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychological conditions affecting adolescents, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches. As a remote professional, you will conduct online assessments, provide individual and group therapy, and collaborate with parents, guardians, and educational institutions to support adolescent well‑being. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Adolescent Psychology.
• Current, valid licence to practice psychology in South Africa (or relevant jurisdiction).
• Minimum of 5 years of post‑doctoral experience working with adolescents.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating common psychological disorders in adolescents.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques tailored for adolescent populations.
• Excellent command of telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and secure communication systems.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to connect with adolescents and their families virtually.
• Strong ethical judgment and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain professional boundaries in a remote setting.
• A dedicated, quiet, and professional workspace with reliable high‑speed internet access.
• Experience with neuropsychological testing and assessment is a plus.
