Somewhere is seeking an Accountant to own accounting across multiple entities for a fast-growing U.S.-based biotech venture and investment platform. This remote, contractor-backed role focuses on building processes, controls, and reporting cadence as the platform scales.

You will manage the general ledger, month-end close, intercompany activity, investor reporting, and tax coordination while growing into Controller and CFO over time. The arrangement is 100% remote with U.S.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a monthly close cycle.
• Strong QuickBooks proficiency and advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Comfort working across multiple entities and keeping them cleanly separated.
• Discretion with sensitive financial, investor, and personal information.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger, journal entries, and the integrity of the books across all entities.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts, including bank and credit card.
• Prepare balance sheets, P&Ls, and monthly financial reporting packages.
• Own and maintain the monthly close calendar; deliver a quarterly QuickBooks reporting package.
• Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle, including invoice processing.
