Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated 5G Network Optimization Specialist to join a globally distributed, remote-first team. You will analyze, tune, and improve 5G networks to ensure exceptional QoS and user experience, working across RAN and vendor platforms.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in mobile network optimization, deep knowledge of 5G NR and LTE, and experience with drive testing and OSS data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in mobile network optimization with a focus on 5G.
• Strong understanding of 5G NR, LTE and radio access network principles.
• Experience with performance analysis tools and drive testing.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing 5G network performance data to identify improvement areas.
• Developing and implementing optimization strategies to improve KPIs.
• Troubleshooting network issues including interference and capacity constraints.
• Tuning parameters and configuring features on 5G RAN elements.
• Collaborating with RAN engineering and operations teams on solutions.
• Generating reports on performance trends and recommendations.
• Participating in network design reviews and documenting processes.
• Working with vendor support teams to resolve critical issues.
