Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Telecoms Network Engineer with a specialization in 5G implementation to join our forward-thinking engineering team. This fully remote role focuses on planning, design, configuration, and optimization of 5G infrastructure to ensure high performance and reliability.

You will lead 5G deployment, collaborate with planning and vendor teams, and develop comprehensive documentation while staying current with 5G standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mobile network engineering, with at least 2 years focused on 5G technologies.
• Strong understanding of 5G architecture (NSA/SA), RAN principles, and core network functions.
• Experience with network planning, optimization, and performance analysis tools.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (NFV/SDN) and cloud-native principles is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and deployment of 5G network elements, including RAN, core network, and transport infrastructure.
• Configure, test, and optimize 5G base stations, network functions, and associated hardware/software.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues related to 5G services, ensuring adherence to performance benchmarks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planning, operations, and vendor partners, to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures for 5G deployments.
• Stay updated on the latest 5G standards, technologies, and industry best practices.
