Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled 2D Animator for a fully remote role. You will bring characters to life for explainer videos, game assets, and animated shorts, collaborating with a distributed team of designers and project managers.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, proficiency in Adobe Animate or Toon Boom Harmony, and a deep understanding of animation principles, rigging, and storytelling. Remote-friendly environment with flexible collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as a 2D Animator with a compelling portfolio.
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, character rigging, and storytelling through movement.
• Ability to create visually appealing character designs and backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working effectively in a remote team setting.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D character animations, motion graphics, and visual effects according to project specifications.
• Interpret storyboards and scripts to produce fluid and expressive animations that convey character emotion and narrative progression.
• Collaborate with the art and design teams to ensure animation style consistency and quality.
• Optimize animations for various platforms and formats, ensuring efficient rendering and performance.
• Participate in animation reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve workflow and final output.
• Manage animation assets and maintain organized project files within a remote collaboration environment.
