Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Animator to spearhead their distributed studio's animation projects. You will guide a team of animators, shaping characters and stories through motion graphics and animation across games, film, and marketing content.

You will work fully remotely, mentoring junior artists, refining styles, pipelines, and ensuring top-quality output while collaborating with directors and stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Animator, with a proven track record in a lead or senior role.
• Demonstrated expertise in 2D and/or 3D animation principles and software (e.g., Maya, Blender, After Effects, Toon Boom).
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional animation skills, character performance, and motion graphics.
• Experience in leading and mentoring creative teams, providing constructive feedback and fostering talent.
• Excellent understanding of storytelling, cinematography, and visual composition within animation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of animators, providing creative direction and technical guidance throughout the production pipeline.
• Develop and refine animation styles, techniques, and workflows to achieve project goals and maintain high-quality standards.
• Create compelling character animations, motion graphics, and visual effects for various media.
• Collaborate with directors, artists, and other stakeholders to ensure animation aligns with the overall vision and narrative.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables for animation tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion.
