Job summary

Absa Group seeks a high-performing Relationship Executive: Small Business (FAIS) to grow and manage a portfolio of Small Business clients with low to medium complexity banking needs. You will handle new client acquisition, portfolio growth, and deliver a premium client experience aligned to the Small Business CVP.

You will be the primary contact for clients, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions while maintaining compliance with regulatory and credit requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a Business Banking Relationship Manager with a portfolio of 150+ clients.
• 5+ years’ client-facing, target-driven financial services experience (banking preferred).
• Strong SME/commercial banking, credit processes and financial analysis knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Science, Economics, Finance, or related field.

• Grow and optimise a portfolio of Small Business clients through new business origination and cross-selling.
• Build strong, trusted client relationships and be the main contact for all banking needs.
• Drive portfolio profitability while meeting sales, growth, and retention targets.
