Old Mutual in South Africa is seeking a dynamic Sales and Service professional to join our customer-focused team. You will provide quality service, analyze issues, receive visitors, and manage CRM data to support retention and business development.

In this role you will clarify customer needs, develop relationships for key accounts, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to regional sales growth through data-driven insights and targeted prospecting.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 5 qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to secure new business or support retention.
• Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.
• Receive visitors and assist with various requests for information, referring more complex matters to colleagues.
• Enter relevant information into the CRM system after each contact with a customer to create a call plan and to ensure data quality for retention and business development.
• Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting; tailor standard materials to decision-makers; ask relevant questions to gather information and identify areas needing clarification.
• Develop and implement a relationship management plan to identify and build connections with decision-makers within customer organizations.
• Develop knowledge of policies, procedures and regulatory codes to ensure compliance; obtain supervisor authorization for exceptions.
• Monitor and assess sales and market data for a specific geographic region to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop a personal network within the business sector and represent the organization at events to generate opportunities.
• Conduct data exploration to identify key themes and trends using primary data sources and BI tools.
• Demonstrate understanding of networking value by participating in internal and external networks.
