Job summary

Capitec Ltd. seeks a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines powering regulatory reporting automation for SARB relief. You will collaborate with data architects, build API-enabled backend services, and apply data quality and governance across data flows.

Strong Python, SQL, and AWS experience are required, with knowledge of data lakes, warehouses and CI/CD. Ideally you will bring Kubernetes, ETL design and Django familiarity to support the platform.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python and AWS experience required.
• Strong SQL with data modelling principles.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
• Experience in API design and backend development beneficial.
• Kubernetes and containerised data solutions advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust data platforms and pipelines.
