Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings in Durban seeks a Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate patient care in the ward, with a focus on cardiac patients and ventilated care. The role requires ICU exposure and adherence to hospital policies.

You will lead and supervise ward staff, attend to patient complaints, and work night and day shifts. Computer literacy in MS Word & Excel is expected to support documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with valid APC.
• ICU trained will be advantageous.
• Cardiac experience is essential.
• Must be prepared to do shiftwork (Night shift / Day Shift).
• Must be computer literate – MS Word & Excel.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Must have experience in nursing a ventilated patient.
• Must be competent with the Hospital's Policies and Regulations.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff.
• Attend to patient care within the Ward.
• Attend to patient's complaints.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with valid APC.
