Job summary

National Renal Care in Cape Town seeks an experienced Registered Nurse or Clinical Technologist to join a patient-centred renal care team. The role involves providing dialysis care, counselling patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of clinical practice.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of dialysis experience, knowledge of quality improvement and POPIA compliance, and be registered with SANC or HPCSA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing or BTech in Clinical Technology.
• Registered with SANC as RN/Midwife or HPCSA as Clinical Technologist.
• 1–2 years dialysis experience in a haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis unit.
• Experience operating dialysis equipment and water treatment systems.
• Experience in the management of patients with chronic kidney disease.
• Experience in patient education and counselling.
• Knowledge and application of quality improvement and risk management principles.
• Working knowledge of National Health Act, POPIA, Occupational Health and Safety legislation and SANC/HPCSA rules.
