Placements24 is seeking a Regional Operations Manager for its Upington, Northern Cape facility. You will oversee all daily manufacturing operations, drive lean initiatives, ensure safety and quality, and manage budgets and resources to meet production targets.

You will lead a team of manufacturing professionals, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, workflow management, and quality control.
• Ensure that production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and timeliness.
• Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage the plant's operational budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
• Lead, train, and motivate the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and repair to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods within the Upington, Northern Cape facility.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and sales departments to align production with business needs.
• Monitor and report on key operational metrics and performance indicators.
